Representative Sport

The NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) provides a pathway for students to participate and excel in competitive school sport.

At Redhead Public School, we are proud to have multiple students and teams who represent at Hunter Region, NSW State and National levels across a variety of PSSA sports. Students are offered individual representative opportunities in numerous sporting disciplines, enabling them to develop their skills, compete at the highest level and experience the pride of representing their school.

As part of our strong sporting culture, we hold annual Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals, which serve as pathways to higher levels of competition.

e consistently perform at an outstanding level and proudly cater for numerous students in the High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) physical domain through representative sport. These opportunities not only foster sporting excellence but also build teamwork, resilience and a strong sense of school pride.

PEx Hub

What do PEx Hubs do?

The department identifies and supports twenty two schools and networks of schools as specialist PEX Hubs, collaborating with university partners to showcase high-quality professional experience practice. PEX Hubs partner with universities to develop innovative and mutually beneficial models of professional experience that benefit pre-service teachers and can be shared across NSW public schools statewide, in addition to the initial teacher education sector.

PEx Hub goals

In collaboration with its university partner(s), a PEX Hub:

• advocates for professional experience being a shared responsibility for preparing future teachers that benefits teachers, schools and the system as a whole
• provides consistent high quality professional experiences for all preservice teachers, supervising teachers and initial teacher education providers in our sphere of influence
• leads collaborative school-based evaluative practices to inform innovation in professional experience
• shares knowledge and supports a network of schools to strengthen the quality of professional experience
• focuses on strengthening and supporting subject matter expertise in the designated area of workforce need.

Musical Cinderella and Rockerfella

Cinderella & Rockerfella is a fun, modern twist on the classic fairytale Cinderella, reimagined with a pop-star sparkle and a generous helping of humor.
